I designed this sheep’s wool gilet, inspired by an earlier project cleaning and felting sheep’s wool. I had some felted pieces of sheep’s wool and designed this garment inspired by a similar piece I saw by renowned French fashion designer ISABEL MARANT. This project is an exploration of how fashion design could help to revive the Irish rural economy, by using existing native materials in both new + ancient ways.
